Look Ma! I made a decision!!
So, I talked to my sleep deprived mother this morning (hi mom!) and talking to her always helps me make decisions even when she says nothing (so should I say talking at her?). I am not making any plans for this weekend. I'm tired of making plans. If I feel like going to Galway on Fri then I'll go. If I don't, then I won't. Either way, I'll be happy with that decision since it's not being forced outta me now. And either way I'll have an excellently spiffy weekend. Decision! Accomplishment in the morning!

amazing how comforting a decision can be, even if it's a firm decision not to make plans. spontaneous decisions rock, too! — you could decide at the last minute to jump on a train on Saturday morning if the feeling grabs you — or equally happily decide to do exactly what you want without leaving the city you're in. What's the name of that Calvin & Hobbes book? "The days are just packed"?

It's a great relief knowing that whatever I do - that's ok by me. I let the external pressure of other people's expectations for me benig in Ireland get to me sometimes - all the "you should...."s. But hey, that doesn't mean I will! At least not on this adventure!
